It's amazing that right when you think things are going really well, that something can come along and just ruin that feeling?!?! Yesterday was going really well, managed to get a lot done. I moved the boys sleeping situation around a bit. Monkey needs a bit of space, especially if he's going to have any hope of concentrating. Little Man has been begging for a bigger bed the last few months, he was in a toddler bed. So, I decided to move Monkey upstairs into the murphy bed, and Little Man down to Monkey's old bed. This worked well as I did not need to purchase a new bed, and in fact get to sell one now.
Obviously the rest of the house has been suffering with the work I've been doing, but I felt that some progress was being made. I got the boys into their beds, and turned the lights out by 8:00 pm. I was impressed that I only had to go and speak to Bug & Little man once before it was just silence in the house. I did a little more work at this time, then finally made myself some dinner. I decided to take it downstairs to enjoy while catching up on some shows. There was a slight problem with this plan. I got settled on the couch, and turned the TV on. I could hear things, but I couldn't see anything?!?! At first I thought maybe the boys had changed a setting, so tried to get into the menu. Nothing. This is when I got up to inspect the TV. There were two huge cracks on the upper right portion of the screen. To say I was angry would be an understatement. I was actually glad that they boys were in bed, as it allowed me time to get myself under control.
A little background. In April of 2010, I had to replace our TV because Little Man whacked it with a plastic toy hammer. So, the now broken TV downstairs has only been in this house for 10 months.
When the boys woke up in the morning, we had a family meeting. I was informed by Little Man that he threw a toy, and it hit the TV. So then I informed them of a few things. Firstly, I am NOT buying a new TV at this time. If I do buy a new TV, it will be for my room, for me only. Also, the money to purchase that TV will come from the savings fund for their iPads. As you can imagine, they weren't too happy with this.
I don't know what to do with Little Man these days. I put him in time outs, his room, and take his toys away when he throws them, but it isn't working! I never had this much trouble with the other two, then again, I wasn't doing this on my own when they were this age. I can't really put the blame there, as I was still the main person to hand out punishments, as well as there a lot more than their father. I'm just at a loss as to how to handle Little Man.
Right now I am concentrating on getting my house completely in hand, get all the things out that we don't need (either sell or donate). Move the boys craft stuff downstairs to the new craft area, and get my area organized and ready to go. I'm still positive about how things are going, and know that I am on the right path, it's just these little things that keep coming along and setting me back a bit.
The last few years I have fought hard for my kids, which will never stop. But to help C and H through school issues, and to support P through cancer, I have somehow left myself behind. I have let my self go... and I need to find her again if I'm to keep fighting for my boys!

Making progress
I finally feel like I am making progress! It is now just down to the kitchen really, only a few odds and ends around the house. I have a van full of various things to take out to Cochrane in the morning. I have things for good will, and things of his to drop off out there as well. I will then be making another trip with the van to take some boxes out to my parents place. They have a large storage tent set up by their garage, and three waiting palates. I am hoping to get as much as possible in the tent, to help keep their garage free... although I suspect some items will be finding their way next door, but at least there will still be room for one vehicle.
The boys were as usual running a little wild, doing their best to get my attention. I feel really badly that I can't spend time playing with them, or even reading them a story. Thankfully I only have a week left here, and can then spend as much time doing things with them as I want. Monkey has been really naughty lately, getting into things that just drive me insane! I keep finding creams poured into my sink, plugs moved around, and other various things. Bug just keeps going from one thing to another, and always looking for snuggles. Then there is Little Man. Nothing is safe with him around, it is all fair game! That little mischievous smile of his just pulls on my heart every time though.
It is now time for me to get some sleep, the boys are usually up bright and early... and of course I have a lot to do.

So very tired
I still have at least one week of packing to do, and I am already so very, very tired. I really wish the packing fairy would come here and just get it done for me. I'm thinking I may never move again to just avoid the stress of moving!!!!
To prove just how tired I am, here's what happened at bedtime tonight. The boys of course have been running a little wild this last week, being cooped up in the house most days due to the weather, has not helped the situation one bit. Then Uncle John came over tonight to install the new dishwasher, which I am forever grateful for! But, they of course wanted to help Uncle John, which as I'm sure you all know, isn't really helping. It was then I decided they needed to go to bed early tonight.
At 6:45pm, I had them upstairs getting ready. Shortly after 7pm, they were in their respective beds. I was in the chair in Little Man's room while he was in his bed, trust me, this is an improvement! The last month I have had to hold him so that he can fall asleep, not exactly the highlight of my evenings... although once in a while is nice, but my poor arms need a rest too. Well, next thing you know, I wake up to Little Man playing quietly on his bed, and some chattering coming from down the hallway??? I get up, and head down the hall to see what is going on.
I found Monkey & Bug in the formers room, with the three suitcases from my room, along with a now empty tube of toothpaste (all natural, thank God), and a large pile of toonies!!! How the heck did I miss hearing all that??? They would have had to go right past Little Man's room a few times to get all 3 suitcases out, and then the toonies as well. With three little boys in this house, I usually wake up to the slightest sound. When I was able to get back downstairs, the clock said it was 15 minutes after 8pm.
This all points to a very tired, and stressed out Mama. I can't wait to get this house packed up, and the things I don't want sold or removed for consignment. I just want this part of my life behind me, and move on to better things. I want to live again, not just deal with crap!

Ahh... Mother's Day.
Well, Mother's day has rolled around again. It was a nice day, but with Hubby gone, it's also not quite the same?!? I was out with some friends last night, so my Mom was here watching the boys. She brought some supplies with her, which I was not allowed to see. She and Monkey set up a little breakfast tray for me, with Fruit O's, Almond Milk, Fruit Cup, and strangely a Digestive Cookie! Monkey brought it to the table for me, he was being really very sweet.
The nicest thing was the cuddle time I had with Monkey, and Bug this morning. Monkey showed up in my room sometime very early (I'm thinking it was around 3am?) in the morning, wanting to come and snuggle for a bit. I don't mind having him snuggle with me, as he doesn't poke me as much as Bug does. Just after 6am, Bug showed up wanting to snuggle, so he cuddled up on my other side. The icing on this particular cake was Little Man sleeping until just after 7am! The last week he has been getting up between 5:15 and 5:30am!! Not exactly a good time for me.
The only really blip was late this morning. They were all playing in the yard, having a great time. That is until Bug found the water tap, and turned it on!!!! It is on the side of the house, where there is an incline, an area that the grass doesn't grow very well either. Now I'm not sure if any will grow at all, as it is a mini mudslide! Grrr.... I then got the joy of washing the mud and grass off their shoes. I was able to get them mostly dry in the dryer, so they should be ready to go for tomorrow. Considering that I have 3 boys, I'm amazed that this is the first time I have had to deal with them that dirty!!!!
Now it's time for me to sit back and relax... not going to be much time for that this next week.

Missing my camera...
I am truly missing my camera today... :( Our truly wonderful neighbor de-thatched our lawn with his new lawnmower attachment yesterday, which left us with a LOT of dead grass to rake up. This morning I did that, it equals about 2 large bags full for just the back yard. I remember how much fun I used to have with my friends jumping into piles of leaves in the fall, and figured a great big pile of grass was just as good! Bug had a blast playing in the grass, although he certainly didn't enjoy the bits of grass that he tried to make their way into his mouth LOL. Little Man was enjoying himself as well, doing his best to copy all that Bug did. Little Man even did his best to do a somersault into the pile like Bug did... it's a good thing it was a big pile, Bug would jump into his somersaults LOL. I got (I hope) some really great shots of the two of them playing in that pile.
I do have a camera still, but it is a 35mm Pentax, which means I won't have photos for a few days! Ugh, hopefully my Canon will be back within a few weeks, I am really missing it. I will pick up some more film tomorrow, just sucks that I have to go this route again.

Not much longer
Good news at last! Hubby expects he will be home Thursday, and should be around for a week! He does have work to do, but at least he will be home. The boys have been constantly asking me where he is, and when he will be home. It sounds like they have even more contracts now, which is just crazy... he needs a break so badly. Hopefully we can have a chance to talk about vacations while he is home, since he gets 6 weeks, we should really start planning now.
We did have our quiet weekend here, the boys didn't even get dressed until the afternoon on Saturday, and then only because Grandma and Grandpa were coming over. Speaking of Grandpa, Little Man now says Bapa!!!! It's strange, but all the boys have called him Bapa until they are about 2, and then they switch to Grandpa. So, Little Man would not have heard this form of Grandpa very often at all. Unfortunately he has also started saying 'No', oh the joys of a toddler LOL.
Today we went to church for Palm Sunday, which isn't really the most enjoyable experience for me. In truth, I don't really like attending church these days. I just find that I am so busy with the boys that I don't have a chance to hear anything... and then I have to wonder what the point is? I wish there was a way to somehow get my boys to actually sit still... actually it's not too bad if Bug doesn't come, that boy does not know the meaning of quiet and sit. But, that is not something that is really an option, either we don't go, or we all do. At least Hubby will be home for Easter Service this coming Sunday.
Looks like the weather will finally be getting warmer! It is forecasted to be in the low teens (°C), so the snow should be melted away within a few days... which means I shouldn't need to shovel off Hubby's side of the drive way! There is about a foot of snow on his side, just didn't really see the point in shoveling it when his car would not be moving. But with him home later this week, he will need to get his car out once in a while.
I am off to watch Simpson, and Family Guy, then off to bed. I have actually had two decent nights of sleep, but still feel very tired. Hopefully tonight is also a good night.

A busy few days
After a way too short visit from Hubby, who unfortunately wasn't even home 24 hours, it seems we have been go, go, go! Yesterday I took Monkey to the pool, first time we have gone in a very long time. He did so well! He usually gets very upset, and will cry for most of the time in the water. He has always taken time to adjust to new things, but being in the water has been an on, and off kind of thing. So, I was pleasantly surprised at how much he enjoyed himself. He didn't even flip out when his face would accidentally go under the water, which was always an issue before. The pool at the Y is really nice, the one we spent time in was a variable depth pool, so it came to just below Monkey's armpits. Afterwards I went to Costco with him, where he was really good. He was perfectly happy playing with my iPod touch.
Today I took Bug to the pool, now that boy was sooooo excited! He was also much more work then Monkey LOL, he was just everywhere in that pool. I sometimes forget how he is without his brothers around, probably because I have had little time with just him. He chattered non-stop, moved non-stop, and just had an absolute blast. He worked really well on kicking his legs, and even got his arms and legs going together a few times. When the free pool time was up, we went into the big pool for another 15 minutes, and he was just as happy there. After that he came and helped me get some shopping done, he was just as excited to do that as swimming LOL. I also forget how much that boy can chatter.
We have a fairly quiet weekend planned, the weather isn't going to be all that great. So, I picked up a few movies for them to watch over the next few days. We also have some crafts to complete, and some plants to transplant. More than enough to keep us going till school on Monday.

Toddlers and Spaghetti
What is it with toddlers and spaghetti??? Little Man had a fine time of it today LOL. His face was orange from top to bottom, even some of his hair had changed colour. He also figured that it must be easier to eat if he just puts his face in his plate! I truly wanted to tell him no, but the smile he gave me coming up from the plate was just too adorable. Of course the older two boys thought it was rather funny, which also made Little Man want to do it even more... if only I could put blinders on them at the table, maybe they would not see the craziness that their brother is pulling!
With the orange faces, bath time was a must tonight. I find it much easier to bath them in my tub, which is a corner one with a seat. Their bath is just a little too tight for the 3 of them. Monkey and Bug both enjoy sliding down the seat into the water, although now that Little Man is in with them, it has been somewhat curtailed, but not totally eradicated. I guess Little Man has been watching closely though. He got onto the little seat, and came down saying Whee with a big smile of his face. Now, he doesn't slide down, just steps down the same way he comes up... but to him it is a slide like his older brothers. He just looks so proud of himself after he has done this, melts his Mama's heart.
Other than that, it will be another quiet night here. I have a chai tea simmering on the stove, it smells so good. I will mop the floors first, and start the diapers... then sit back, and relax!

Rules
I am going to try implement rules here in our house... I need something more concrete for the boys to know what is/isn't expected of them. They aren't awful, but they seem to have the typical listening issues that most pre-schoolers do... so I'm hoping that having specific rules in the house will help them know what is allowed. There isn't anything crazy about the rules, mostly just basic things that need to be followed. I also didn't just decide them, we talked about this after dinner tonight. I will type them up, print them, and put them somewhere that they boys can see. Here is what we have so far.
Have I mentioned how happy I am to have our Nanny?? She comes part time 3-4 mornings/afternoons a week... a real life saver for me! This week I have her scheduled so that I can start taking a Yoga class at the local YMCA Monday afternoons. I am also going to be taking the boys, one at a time, to the swimming pool. With plans to live on a yacht in a few years, strong swimming skills will be a necessity! Bug, and Little Man will do just fine I think, Monkey will take some time... he's always needed a little time to adjust to things.
Monkey had a fun night at Grandma's last night, she took him home after coming here for dinner. She then took him to Tai Chi in the morning, and then took him painting with her. He did some very nice paintings. I would post them, but still having problems with downloading from my camera, and Hubby's computer has died (I suspect the power supply fried), which is connected to the scanner. If I feel up to it, I might just bring the scanner/printer to the kitchen and hook it up here. What is it with electrical things acting up when Hubby is away?
I was able to talk to Hubby this morning, he had spent the day riding around on the motorcycles again. I'm glad he actually has some time to see things, usually on these trips he gets very little down time to enjoy things.
Oh, I watched Twilight last night!!!!! I have read the books multiple times... yes I LOVE to read LOL. It took me a little to get into it, but in the end I did enjoy it. It's always hard to watch these movies when you have your own visual of how you expect characters to look/act. Once I got adjusted to their interpretation of the characters, I was able to enjoy it. I will watch it again one night, and hopefully do so without comparing.
- No hitting or biting
- No screaming or throwing fits
- Do not be rude and disrespectful (Corbin has been getting an attitude lately)
- No goofing off at the table
- Do not throw things (toys, food, towels, etc) in the house
- The pantry in the kitchen is off limits (I have caught Bug eating brown sugar in there)
- Do not take other people's things
- Be polite, say please & thank-you
- Toys must be put away before you can have dinner

Did I say a few inches???
I wasn't correct when I said there was a few inches of snow on the ground... more like 6-8! I just spent a good 45 minutes clearing the sidewalks, and part of the driveway of wet, heavy snow. My hands aren't obeying commands as well as usually, they feel very stiff... can't wait to see how they feel tomorrow, along with my arms, and back. I took some pictures, but for some reason I can't seem to download them from my camera... I think it is a cable issue, but just no sure yet. Here is a news link about all the snow.
At least it was a way to deal with the frustration, and bit of anger, over the boys behavior after dinner. I am getting so very tired of the fits, with the kicking, screaming, and general overall freaking out! I am also tired of hearing how much Monkey hates me, which of course Bug is now saying as well. I am not a bad mother, I don't think I let my kids run rampant. I wouldn't say they are the most well behaved children, but lately it feels like it is slowly getting worse. I don't want to feel like I have to stay home because of how they act... but I also don't want to be in public when they act up either!
Hubby did call this afternoon, which was around 2am for him in India. He had just arrived in Chennai a little while earlier, and was on his way to the hotel. He of course had to comment on how it was 28° there, not what you say to your wife when she will shortly have to dig her way out of the house to get the boys to school!!!! I will admit to being a smidge jealous of this trip, I can hardly wait until we are all able to see these places as well. I want to experience all the different places, and people, that the world has to offer. I want our boys to understand how, and why, other people live the way they do. I want them to experience the world!
If anyone has any ideas on how to get my boys to stop the crazy freak outs when not getting their way... please let me know. And No, I do not give in... I can be a very stubborn person when need be.

Why, oh why????
So, the last few days have gone fairly well. We've been out the door on time for school, no major meltdowns. But, WTH is Little Man trying to do to himself???? He does this massive back arch, you can hear his back cracking, when he doesn't get his way. But, then he starts to hit himself in the head??? I can sort of see when his is on the floor throwing a fit, he flops around, kicks his legs, whacks his arms... but to purposely hit himself??? I don't remember the other boys doing this, the back arch, Yes... but not hitting like this.
Must the fits escalate with each child??? Monkey's were easily dealt with, Bug's were a bit worse, but nothing too crazy. Little Man on the other hand LOL. If I say No to anything, the fit ensues. For the most part he is a happy Little Man, but then his alter ego comes out. I guess I should just be happy that he only does this at home. For now at least, I still have the lovely 2's to deal with soon enough LOL.
So Monkey has figured out the stereo now. This kid just seems to have a knack for all things electronic, must get that from Hubby. We have this nice little stereo from Philips, we actually got it while in England. For whatever strange reason, they have not brought it to Canada yet?!?! In the last few days he has inserted a Cranberries, Fine Young Cannibals, Tool, and Colin James CD. I can't even remember the last time I listened to the Cranberries, FYC, or Colin James. His favorite amazingly enough was Tool LOL. It's a darn good thing that Hubby, and I, are both Tool fans. I just pray that he doesn't ever bring any Rap or Country into our house LOL. I think the funniest things was a few months ago. He was listening to some music on the computer, when Tool's Vicarious came on. He started bopping along, and informed that it was really good music LOL. It was all I could do to not fall on the floor laughing.
So, here is what my Monkey thinks is good music... personally I think he has great taste LOL.

So far... So good...
So, it has been three days since Hubby went on his latest business trip, and so far... it's not too bad! One big thing for me is that I hired a part-time Nanny. This is giving me a nice break, to clean the house, get out to run some errands, or whatever I feel like doing! So far I am very happy, she is very nice, and good with the boys. She also comes with a built in buddy for Little Man, as she has an eight month old son. The only thing I really wonder about.... is why did it take me so long to do this!!!!
Nothing crazy has been going on around here, just the typical day to day crud LOL. I was proud of myself for keeping the yelling to a minimum. I'm not sure if it will ever disappear, there are times that the only way to be heard above the clamor is to yell! I was particularly proud this morning to be all in the van right on time to get to school.... without yelling! Only had to give Monkey one warning to get his boots, coat on. Hopefully we can continue this trend.
Hubby didn't get to spend much time in Rome, although he was given a short tour before he had to leave. I can hardly wait until we can all go, and truly enjoy all that the City has to offer. Right now he his back in NewCastle awaiting approval on his visa application to go to India... which should be by early next week. The quicker he gets to India, the quicker he can get home.
I am off to enjoy a nice Chai tea that I am about to make, watch some of my shows... and get an early night!

I came close to losing it today... in some ways I did!
This has been a fairly hard week, the boys have been acting out, are up through out the night waking me up, so I admit I haven't always dealt with things as well as I could. Here are the highlights of this week, and yes, there are some good things.
This afternoon was the icing on the cake, so to say. I had an appointment for Little Man about his cough (which is just a cough, they just want me to keep an eye on it), by the time I got back to van I was in tears! Monkey was absolutely horrible! He embarrassed me with his behavior, I felt like a failure! Bug wasn't much better. So, I got them strapped into their car seats, and proceed to have a massive crying spell while sitting in the parking lot. For the first time that day (or all week for that matter), Monkey and Bug were quiet... I think they were scarred to see me losing it like that. I just couldn't stop myself, it probably lasted for a good 10 minutes.
Things are changing around here. There is to be NO TV for the next week, or computer time. At the first transgression (lying, talking back, not listening), they are to be sent to their room. If they don't get their boots on in the morning, we will not be going to school, and the offender will be sent to their room. I will NOT yell, this has gotten me nowhere. Instead of telling them multiple times to stop something, they will be sent to their room instead. I know this will take time, but it has to happen. I will not allow my children to rule us with their behavior. I do realize they aren't all that bad (I have seen so much worse), but it is not something I will tolerate.
In a week, I will revisit the TV and computer time... but it will be much more regulated than it is now. I just wish I had done this sooner... would have saved a little of my sanity.
So, wish me luck this week... and wish the boys luck too!!
- Bug decided he did not want to wear diapers at night, and has stayed dry!
- Little Man coughed so much last night at 3am, that he puked.
- The two nights that Little Man slept through, Monkey and Bug both bothered me multiple times.
- Monkey has not been listening, lying, talking back, and hurting Bug (biting, hitting). In general driving me up the wall.
- Little Man has spent a good portion of his awake time screaming and crying.
- Bug has been following Monkey's example of not listening.
- Little Man said the word 'Sock' while I was putting them on his feet.
- Found out that Hubby will be home Monday, BUT is heading to Ohio from Wednesday to Friday.
- Found out today that Bug did fracture his foot, but the Clinic never contacted me for follow up till Wednesday???? I am furious!

I can't take much more...
I'm done.
There is just too much for me to handle easily right now. I have not had much sleep lately, due to many different things... Little Man coughing, insomnia, Bug continually waking up, missing hubby. The boys, mainly Bug and Monkey, have been driving me up the bloody wall! I talk nicely, they don't hear me. I talk more firmly, they don't hear me. I raise my voice a little bit, they don't hear me. I yell, and sometimes they hear me, sometimes they don't. And it's not like I am trying to get their attention from a long distance away... maybe 2-5 meters at the most!?!?! The fighting is getting to be a continuous sound, screaming, crying, growling (yes, my boys growl). Then there is the pushing, hitting, throwing.
To top all this off, it would appear that Hubby will NOT be coming home on Tuesday. A part of me knew it could happen, but I really, really didn't want to believe it was even possible. They are having some issues with the program they are installing, and it will make the most sense for Hubby to stay there where he is in the same country, and same time zone as his programmers. I just really need him home to help me stay sane.
I was thinking I could almost handle the extended trip, but now my throat is getting sore. I really cannot afford to be sick right now. I'm sure you can all imagine how well I will deal with my hooligans when not feeling well.
Okay... this whole week hasn't been bad, I have had some good laughs. One of the best was Monkey trying to bargain with me! We let him play some (that we approve) of the free games on HP, you can only play each game 3 times before you have to pay. I have only bought one game, and don't really have plans to buy anymore. I think this was Wednesday??? This is what Monkey said while looking at the games available. "Mama, if you buy me a game I won't scream anymore" LOL I was smart, and didn't laugh at him. I did say that I would not be buying him any games (we have this discussion at least 4 times a week), and that since he is almost 5, he shouldn't be screaming anymore as it is. He really didn't care for my answer, I got the look!
So, I am now going to have an orange, some vitamins, and read a little bit before trying to get some sleep. Let's just hope that I get enough rest to deal better tomorrow.

A strange, but good day.
The big thing for me today, was that Bug is finally putting some pressure on his foot again!!!! It is still swollen, and the bruising is a little more defined, but it is getting better. So, with this in mind, I met with a friend at the Zoo this morning. This allowed us to do something, but let Bug stay off his foot. Not sure what we will do tomorrow, but I'm sure something will come up.
Little Man's diaper rash is looking much, much better... I just wish I knew what exactly had caused it? I just have a very hard time believing that he is getting his 2 year molars already. Guess I will know in a week or so.
The strange thing for today.... Both Bug and Little Man fell asleep on the way home from the Zoo, completely expected. The unexpected was the Bug would not wake up!!! I finally went up at 5:30pm (he fell asleep at just after 1pm) to put him on the potty, and get him ready for bed. Well, he lost it, threw a completely crazy screaming, kicking fit!!! After giving up with the potty, I tried to get his diaper on... that was interesting. I finally gave up, and just left him screaming away in his room. Just after 6pm, I took Little Man upstairs to get ready for bed, and found Bug going potty... happy as could be!?!?!?
He said he was hungry, so I brought him down, and gave him some dinner. He really didn't eat much, but did drink all his milk. He is now back in bed (7:30pm), although I am pretty sure he is not asleep. I'm now a little concerned over how early he will be up tomorrow!!!

First X-Ray today.
It finally happened... had to get x-rays for Bug's foot. We headed out for the playground this morning, I need to get the kids out of the house to burn some energy off. I'm not even sure what happened, as I was helping Little Man at the time. Somehow, Bug fell or jumped to the ground, and managed to hurt his right foot. Of course this also happened on a day that I didn't bring the second seat for the stroller!!! I somehow managed to get both Bug and Little Man into the stroller, and we headed off home.
We were home for at least a half hour before I could get Bug to finally calm down enough, and start talking. The inner step on his right foot was starting to swell at this point. I quickly made lunch, and started to make some phone calls. Shortly after 1, I packed the kids up, and headed out. I dropped Monkey, and Little Man at a friends house, and took Bug to the walk-in clinic. We were seen within 20 minutes, and then of course sent off for x-rays.
The worst part of the whole experience, was waiting to see the Dr AFTER the x-rays were done. We sat for over an hour, only to have him finally say that there was nothing broken. He could have easily just taken a quick look to see if we even needed to hang around. At least that is over. Bug still won't put any pressure on his foot, so I have been carrying him around everywhere... all 34lbs of him!!!
I am ready for my glass of Wine now!!!!!!!!!!

What is going on!!!!
I had figured since the weather is still so nice out, that we should head to the Zoo. I asked the boys to clean up the toys, while I was getting the kitchen in order... I'm sure some of you can guess what happened next. Thirty minutes later (and there was not that many toys out) I got tired of telling them to clean, and informed them that we were not going to the Zoo if this is how well they are going to listen!!! Again, I'm sure you can imagine the reaction, the screaming, the joy! It really did not make for a pleasant beginning to our afternoon. I am going to try for tomorrow, I've talked with the boys multiple times about what I expect before we leave.... let's just hope they listen!
I am starting to get excited about Homeschooling! I will be attending a Convention in Red Deer mid April, there should be a lot of information to help me get started. The best part is that I will be going with a number of friends, who will all be starting Kindergarten this fall. The fact that I will be there without Hubby and the kids is also contributing to my enthusiasm LOL.
We had a really nice sunset today, I was able to get outside to take pictures every 10 minutes or so. I did kick the boys outside for a good chunk of time this afternoon, no point in totally wasting a beautiful day.

I love Dada more than you Mama!
Way to break my heart. Yup, while eating breakfast Monkey informs me that he loves Dada more than me... he still likes me, but Loves Dada.
I have always known he was a Dada's boy, but still thought he loved me... even a little bit!!! I know he loves me, but it does hurt when he puts it this way... and yes I know it's just him being 4, but it still hurts.
Wonder if I should remind him of this conversation in 20 years or so!

How long is a day???
I sometimes wonder how one day can seem so much longer than others... especially when you sleep in a bit!!! The boys slept longer than usual this morning, which in turn means that I did too. It was not a fun or relaxing morning as I tried to get everything, and everyone ready to head out the door, I only had 40 minutes! I'm surprised that I actually grabbed an orange to eat before running out the door, otherwise I would have had nothing to eat at all.
Bug seems to be missing hubby the most this time around, which is unusual for him. He has been throwing fits left, right and centre, and over the strangest of things. At school pick up time, Bug is supposed to walk towards me when his name is called, he of course decided this was a good day to run. When told that he would have to go back to the carpet and walk, he fell to the floor and started to whine and cry... ?????? This rule he has been following for 3 months, not sure what made today so special.
Little man produced a small fever this afternoon, somewhere around 38.5°. He's not showing any other signs of being sick, so I wonder if it is just his eye teeth about to erupt. It would be nice if he could get them out soon, and quickly too. He's close to sleeping through the night, and the sooner the better for my sanity.
My eating has be absolute crap lately... I don't think it has ever been this bad, but it has to stop. If I am ever going to lose weight, I need to bring it under control.... NOW!! I am going to use Sparkpeople to keep track of my eating this week (and for a little while longer), should help to keep me on track... don't really want to write down crap, makes it too real. There is no reason that I shouldn't be able to lose weight over the holiday season if I am careful in what food choices I make!

Growing too fast!
Little man is now 1 year and one day... I really wish he would slow down! He was really having a good time getting into trouble this morning. As I was getting ready to get out the door with the boys this morning, I found him climbing the furniture. Guess he really wants to sit in Monkey's chair!!!

We went back to the play place today, much quieter this time around. Little man did have fun yesterday, but it was packed with kids. Today he and Monkey could really enjoy all the toys and climbers.
