We went back to the play place today, much quieter this time around. Little man did have fun yesterday, but it was packed with kids. Today he and Monkey could really enjoy all the toys and climbers.
The last few years I have fought hard for my kids, which will never stop. But to help C and H through school issues, and to support P through cancer, I have somehow left myself behind. I have let my self go... and I need to find her again if I'm to keep fighting for my boys!

Growing too fast!
Little man is now 1 year and one day... I really wish he would slow down! He was really having a good time getting into trouble this morning. As I was getting ready to get out the door with the boys this morning, I found him climbing the furniture. Guess he really wants to sit in Monkey's chair!!!

Happy Birthday Little Man!
It is Little Man's birthday today, his First of many more to come. I am finding it a little hard right now, it is making me sad that I no longer have a baby in the house. And anytime I mention it to hubby, he just rolls his eyes at me... can you tell that he doesn't want anymore!
We didn't do too much today as we had my parents, sister and her family over last night to celebrate. We did go to the playplace while Monkey was in school, which both Bug and Little Man thouroughly enjoyed.
Little man didn't get too many presents, which is good since we have way too much in this house! But so far he has been having a lot of fun playing with them. Beware of the picture overload!!!!

More Surprises!!!
Hubby is really treating me these days! Last week I got a dyson vacuum, which I was really not expecting. And now.... he bought me the Couch, Chair, Washer and Dryer that I wanted!?!?!?!?!?
He came home just before dinner, and asked me who it was that was interested in our present washer and dryer. I truthfully looked at him like he had 3 heads, and asked him why. All he did then was give me a little folder that had the receipts for all the above mentioned items. I think it took me a good 5 minutes to even say something! So, the couch and chair will be here Tuesday evening, and the washer/dryer will be coming on Wednesday. I am so excited to use the new washer/dryer, supposedly the steam option will make less ironing for me!!!!!
Other exciting news for us is that Little Man is an official toddler now! He took those first real steps last week, and yesterday decided to walk more than crawl. I am a little sad that I no longer have a baby in the house, but know that he will be my last. Sigh... it's too bad Hubby will not even consider another baby :(
Here's a video taken yesterday, along with what I am calling his happy dance at the end LOL.

Evening Ramblings
Well, the time has come.... everything is now an Uh-Oh!!! Little Man has been able to say this for a few weeks, but he now is using it in context. This morning he dropped his soother while we were driving, for the next 7 minutes all I heard from him was Uh-Oh. Shortly after putting him to bed tonight, I hear numerous Uh-Oh's. I finally decide to see what has happened, only to find all three of his soothers on the floor, and stinky diaper to boot! LOL
I made it to the Doctor yesterday, and got some X-ray's taken of my ankle. It isn't broken (didn't even know you could walk around with a broken foot, but I now understand it's possible), but I do have a sliver of bone that has come off!!! Thankfully she said that I don't really need a cast, but will have a slightly longer healing time. So, guess I will be keeping up with the Advil and Tylenol for a bit longer.... because it still really hurts.
The weather here this week has been just strange! It has been sitting around 24°C (75°F), not exactly what is normal for this time of year. And of course I can't fully enjoy it with my ankle the way it is. Hopefully it will be well enough to get out a bit this weekend.
These pics were just too cute to not share!!! You can tell that Little Man was thoroughly enjoying those beans and cranberries!

Walking and cleaning.
So, the time has come where nothing will be safe in the house... Little Man took his first steps last night!!!!! Truthfully nothing has been safe since he started crawling and cruising, but it always feels like it gets worse after they walk LOL. Being that it was only the first steps, I at least have a little longer to enjoy before he is all out walking. It's at moments like this that I wish we had a smaller house, especially a bungalow!
On one of the boards that I frequent, there was a thread asking to see pics of houses that are bigger than 3000 sq ft. It really amazed me how many people have larger houses, and yes, I am one of them! I do like this house, but for the stage of life we are in right now... it is a bit big and has rooms that we really don't utilize very much. Hmm.... guess I should plan some dinner parties or something... actually get some good use of the dinning room LOL.
It is the most dreaded time of day around here..... CLEAN UP TIME!!! It drives me nuts that I have to become a dictator to the boys to actually get anything done. So, tonight things will be a little different... oh the poor unsuspecting children! I am taking the bins, once they are full of the toys, and they are being put into the sewing room (which is kept locked). They will then be allowed one bin at a time, and will not get something different until the first is picked up. This should put a stop to the hour long, soul destroying, heart wrenching, time of clean up!!! Or so I can dream LOL.
